A microloc academy is a comprehensive training program that teaches you everything you need to become a professional loctician. This includes installation techniques, retightening methods, consultation skills, product knowledge, hair science, business fundamentals, and client management. A quality academy provides both theory and hands-on practice.
Our academy offers both full-time and part-time options. Full-time programs typically take four to eight weeks and include intensive daily training. Part-time programs typically take eight to twelve weeks and allow you to maintain other commitments. Both formats cover the same material and lead to the same certification.
You will learn four core areas: theory and hair science, technical installation methods, consultation and client management skills, and business fundamentals. You will practice on mannequin heads and real hair under instructor supervision. You will learn troubleshooting and problem-solving. You will develop the skills and confidence to work independently.
Our academy emphasizes hands-on practice. You do not just watch videos or listen to lectures. You practice installation techniques repeatedly until you develop muscle memory and confidence. You practice on real hair under supervision. You receive feedback and correction. This hands-on approach accelerates your learning and builds real competence.
Academy students receive ongoing mentorship and support. You have access to instructors during and after training. You can ask questions, get feedback on your work, and receive guidance as you build your practice. This support is invaluable as you transition from student to professional.
Upon completion of our academy program, you receive a professional certification that demonstrates your competence to clients and employers. This certification is recognized in the industry and gives you credibility as you build your loctician business.
Academy graduates typically earn $85,000 to $100,000+ annually as locticians. Some work for salons, some work independently, and some build their own teams. The skills and certification you gain in academy open doors to multiple career paths. For more on training options, read about online vs in-person training. Ready to join our academy?
